SIEHS celebrated “Youm-e-Difa-o-Shuhada-e-Pakistan”, as a remembrance of the exceptional unity and unwavering resolve to protect our motherland and to foil the brazen acts of aggression by the adversary. It is a day to honour the unprecedented valour exhibited by our soldiers and the selfless sacrifices made by the nation to defeat the enemy’s nefarious designs.
SIEHS also celebrated the launch of Sindh-wide Rescue 1122’s ambulance services, across the 30 districts of Sindh with more than 350 ambulances on the roads. The entire populace of the province has now joined the club of global health coverage services, through DoH-SIEHS.
The Sindh wide launch event of Rescue 1122 and “Youm-e-Difa-o-Shuhada-e-Pakistan” has been organized today at the Ibn-e-Qasim, Park, Karachi. The Hosts were DoH–SIEHS, Brigadier Tarique Quadir Lakhiar, the CEO – SIEHS, along with other team members.
Sindh’s honourable caretaker Health Minister, Dr. Saad Khalid Niaz graced the event as the Chief Guest. The ceremony was also attended by the Guest of Honour, Lt. General (retired) Javed Zia, ex-Corps Commander Balochistan; along with other large number of guests, including representatives from the embassies in Karachi, businessmen, law enforcement agencies, media personnel, local dignitaries, and representatives of the community.
The caretaker Health Minister of Sindh, Dr Saad Khalid Niaz recognized and applauded the sacrifices and courage of the Armed Forces and stated “The chapters on valour and courage that the Pakistan Army wrote during the War of September are unparalleled. The collective spirit of unity exhibited during this period is doubtlessly a precious asset of the Pakistani nation and its armed forces.” He also stated, “SIEHS 1122 has done a commendable job in a very short span of time. I would like to congratulate the Government of Sindh, including the ex-Chief Minister of Sindh, ex-Health Minister, along with the senior management of SIEHS on this remarkable achievement.”
Talking on this occasion, Brig. Tarique Quadir, CEO of SIEHS said, “The insurmountable courage and strength shown by the nation and armed forces on the 6th of September actually served to give a strong message to the world, that we are a living nation that knows to defend every inch of the Motherland. There is no doubt that if the nation is united and the armed forces of the country are equipped with professionalism and the passion to sacrifice everything, the enemy cannot dare to confront them.”
He also shared, “I would also like to take this opportunity, to acknowledge and appreciate the exceptional support extended by the Government of Sindh in making SIEHS a success. It is essential for us to protect this exceptional service, take care of our always helpful team members, and show them appreciation and reverence. They are here to help us 24/7, so we should think of them as part of the family.”
The event’s success serves as a resolution to the belief that every one of us will strive to our optimum capacity in order to serve the sacred mission of the defence of the homeland while coming up to the expectations of the nation with the blessings of Allah Almighty, and under the flagship of our rich traditions.
SEIHS will furthermore, soon be bolstered with an additional number of ambulances, firefighting equipment, and technical teams, to accommodate a larger region and population. Furthermore, we have intentions to launch outreach initiatives to educate individuals in life-saving techniques and enhance their way of living.
