Senior Manager - Software Development

GENERAL PURPOSE:

To oversee and work on different projects’ execution, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards, while aligning technical work with business goals. Ensure best practices and mentoring team and driving innovation within the organization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES:

• Initiate and coordinate pre-project activities including Scoping, RFP, tendering and technical evaluation.
• Develop high-quality software by implementing clean design and architecture
• Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code
• Manage and execute against project plans and deliver commitments within a professional, high paced engineering environment
• Interface with our internal/external customers to understand requirements, set priorities, and communicate direction and progress
• Drive improvements in software engineering practices
• Manages day to day activities related to smooth operations of every software implementation in SIEHS.
• Conduct and Supervise software UAT which includes coordination with software development team as well business team for its timely and accurately completion.
• Ensures that standard business processes are followed and deliverable guidelines are met (quality control).
• Supervise IT systems training and ensures that business team is fully operational on systems under his/her domain.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Extensive experience in software development and project management
• Knowledge of selected programming languages (e.g. Python, C++) and the Microsoft .net platform
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases (e.g. MSSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
• Experience in working in an ERP environment (e.g. D365)
• Experience using system monitoring tools and automated testing frameworks
• Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
• Ability to work independently

Qualification: Master’s degree in Computer Science or in a relevant field.

Experience:  5-6 years of relevant experience
