Operation Department – Rest of Sindh

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The position is responsible for the overall Operations of the Emergency Medical Services 24/7 at the Zonal Level. The role entails overseeing each aspect of the Operations which includes direct supervision of the Management & Technical staff of each unit and indirect supervision of the staff within the Stations through the Station Supervisors. 

As a Zonal Manager Operations, this position contributes to SIEHS Corporate management agenda by providing strong strategic, professional and clinical leadership for all aspects of Services and allied health professionals, in demonstrating care, compassion and respect for patients, carers and staff and is a member of the Management Team. It is expected that the person works variable hours to accommodate the 24 hours Ambulance Service.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES:

• To provide leadership to the Team of staff in the various disciplines of the Emergency Ambulance Services at the Zone
• To liaise and network with the stakeholders in the private and public sectors that are involved with providing the Service and keep abreast of any changes, e.g. Hospitals, Medical Colleges, Government officials within Zonal restrictions.
• To ensure that the condition of all the Emergency Ambulances are maintained to a level that there is minimal disruption to the services that are being provided & Ensure that the quality standards of Service Delivery
• To manage the logistics of the vehicles and maintain data that services are adequate for the area that is assigned.
• To prepare and provide statistical reports for the SRMS to Senior Management
• Liaison with different cross functional departments for running smooth operations.
• To be involved in the recruitment and selection process of staff and provide motivation and guidance to ensure retention of key staff
• To organize and develop a Training Plan for the SRMS Operations staff for implementation
• To ensure that Operations staff are current in their skills to provide the highest level of Service Delivery.
• Ensure ISO requirement and Compliance.
• Prepare team for Automation.
• Reviewing customer requirements and ensuring that they are met & Setting standards for quality as well as health and safety.
• Any other task assigned by the Senior Management.

Experience:

At least 5-8 Years managerial position experience of operations in a reputable organization

Qualification:

Graduate or MBA / Post Graduate / MBBS with MBA (Preferred)
